Nap Time?

Okay, this morning nap....is not really working out any more. We call it quiet time. But this is what happens after 10 min. with the mobile running. Ahhh too bad for Mommy.

Mehr Bilder von Weihnachten. Das sind Oma und Opa bei uns zu Weihnachten. Alles geht jetzt besser ohne Oma aber wir wunschen das Sie immer noch in der nehe ware. Die Haley hat ihre Oma vermisst die ersten paar Tage als sie nicht mehr hier war. Es geht jetzt besser.

Baby Einstein

There was a time when TV meant nothing, when getting ahold of the camera was all she wanted to do....Now..look at this...what have I done? The kid is obsessed...and this is the second round of the same video? But alas, it gave me time to dry my hair and put away some stuff. Yikes.

Is She Just Average?

Ohhh I don't think sooooo. Our lovely Haley crawled for Oma just before she left and now crawls like a pro. She still prefers walking and is getting very good at pulling herself up. Only one problem....she thinks that getting up is the difficult part. She just assumes she can walk away once she is up! We have also mastered the sippy cup. Okay the sippy cup is not really conquered....it is the sipping part...things like the soother just get launched across the room so we have to celebrate even the smallest victories. Our favorite song...How much is the doggy in the window? Especially when accompanied with "arf, arf, arf!" Our favorite book....Humpty Dumpty...especially when accompanied with a huge crash sound. These things change daily. Hard to keep up, and the criteria are difficult to follow.

Sad Day for Mama

Oma left this morning. I am very sad and Haley spent the morning looking for her as well. Wow Mom. We miss you so much. You were a fantastic help and we really wish we lived closer. I hope everyone knows how lucky they are if they have grandparents close by. We miss Opa too. It was so nice to have help. No picture today. We just miss everyone.

Playtime

Life is examined thoroughly. Yesterday's toy is new again. Two naps a day, play time between, eating, pooping and all is good. We love bathtime. If you ask daddy she also loves poker, golf and hockey on TV. She apparently needs to know the latest scores. Don't we all!

Oma Time

Well our beautiful time with Oma is coming to an end. Whatever will we do with her?
We are so sorry to see you go. Hopefully you can come again soon. Maybe for our first birthday?

Out and About

Well yesterday ended with another outfit change and then I just had to do laundry. Well, I think I am going to have to double check those diapers. I think they leak!

We go out every day...sometimes we nap, sometimes we don't and sometimes we cry! It took me months of research to determine which stroller to buy. This is my choice. I must add that I think it is the very best stroller for us, and I still think so. It has big wheels for snow...tested and works...a compartment for groceries and it is accessorized with a sleeping blanket and a storm cover. The front wheel locks or pivots..for small corners in the grocery store! This is travelling. I can't believe we actually cry in this travel system! Now there are more expensive stollers available...and well poor Andy at one time thought we might actually be buying one. Well and if we ever move to Paris...I will definitely buy the new Stokke stroller...and well the ever famous Bugaboo...wheels are too small for snow...better for LA. Jogging strollers...yeah right....and stollers for behind the bike....have you seen the tourists drive around here in the summer? that would be a death sentence. So there you go...my two cents on strollers and I love my Phil and Ted's E3 stroller with accessories! As for diaper bags...yuch. I'm sticking to my knapsack. Boy have I got opinions on motherhood these days...yikes ask me in a few years when we go shopping for a mini van...right now I shiver at the thought. he he he

Happy New Year

Last night wasn't our slowest New Year's. Surprise! Yeah in the past it was common for us to not go out and instead get up early and hit the slopes. You won't believe how great snowboarding is without any people on the hill! This year we went to friends and had a great time. We left Haley at home with Oma knowing that all was well. Andy was even left to sleep in this morning since he had ahem(a little)more to drink than me. I was up early with Haley. We peed on our first outfit, had a nap at 10:30, then had a blow out poop along with lunch, another outfit, played on our tummy all afternoon until real frustration set in...exersaucer and now some baby einstein on tv....not a big fan..doesn't really like TV!. A few attempts at crawling...but she just doesn't get it...walking seems so much faster. I think we will all go for another nap.....Ta da what a life!
